Symposium Introduction

The Korea-Japan International Symposium on Materials Science & Technology (KJMST) is an international academic exchange meeting that marks its 9th anniversary this year, and its purpose is to promote regular international academic exchange between the Materials Research Society of Korea (MRS-K) and the Materials Science Society of Japan (MSSJ). In particular, at this symposium held as a part of GCIM2024, we would like to present and discuss the current status of materials researches in Korea and Japan for a sustainable future society.

ICYRAM Young Researcher Symposium

Organizer

Byungha Shin (KAIST)

Symposium Introduction

ICYRAM, dedicated to the support of young researchers, is the most recent of the four International Conferences (ICA) launched by the International Union of Materials Research Societies (IUMRS). ICYRAM was first organized in Singapore (2012), followed by China (2014), India (2016), Australia (2018), Japan (2022). In 2024, the ICYRAM Conference will be organized for the sixth time in Asia, in Jeju, a beautiful island in Korea.

Young Researchers from all over the world will have a unique opportunity to discuss, meet and create networks within the global materials community.

Young researchers will have the unique opportunity:

  • to present their achievements in fields related to materials science and engineering,
  • to extend their knowledge through contact and information exchanges with other young colleagues.
